I have researched all over the internet and I have looked back on my experience of summer intensives. Therefore, I have compiled the ultimate packing list that can be use for almost all summer intensives! Hope this will help you a lot!
Bathroom

- water squirt bottle
- makeup (for performances)

- shower shoes (Trust me. It gets really gross in the bathroom.)

- microwavable food (if you have a microwave)
- plastic utensils (opt.) (I like having these in case I'm late in the morning or I don't feel like eating in the cafeteria)

- tape/sticky tac (for posters and decor)
- lysol spray/chlorox wipes
- hand sanitizer
- bed comforter/blanket (I recommend a blanket because it's easier to pack)

- stationary (opt. some people like to write and send letters back home)

(The craziest stuff that I saw people bring are little chairs/stools and a TV!)

(Think about what the weather is like where you are going)
- swim suit
- underwear/bras
- sneakers
- sandals
- pants/jeans/shorts/athletic shorts/leggings
- pajamas/lounge clothing
- cardigans/jacket (Even if you are going to a hot place bring one because it gets really cold in the dorms!)
- socks

- heels (opt. some intensives include dance parties that are themed)
- leotards (See what colored leotards the intensive allows you to wear. Most only allow black.)
- tights (Bring lots of them! You never know when they'll rip!)
- jazz shorts
- warms-ups

- legwarmers
- warm-ups (it's good to bring them for in between classes to keep your muscles warm)
- all dance shoes (jazz, character, ballet flats, pointe, etc.)
(most intensives include activites. I recommend doing them! They do those activities so you and your experience there!)
- refillable water bottle (always have them in class too!)
- umbrella
- beach towel (to create less things to pack, you can use this towel as a regular towel)
- sunscreen
- hat
- mini backpack/purse (I like little backpacks because it doesn't affect your shoulders or back as much)
- wallet
- sunglasses
- money/debit card
(Bring this on the plane with you so if you lose your suitcase you won't be in total despair.)
- extra leotard
- extra tights
- nail clippers
- theraband
- pointe shoes (Try to figure out how many pairs you need to bring! I am going to a four week intensive and I'm bring three pairs.)
- pointe shoes elastics/ribbons
- pointe shoe bag/mesh bag (It'll make your pointe shoes last longer and be less stinky! :D)
- the rest of your dance shoes!
- toe tape
- toe pads
- tennis ball
- mini sewing kit (you might want to put this in your suitcase because your needle and scissors might not get past through security at the airport)
- deodorant
- extra brush (It can be small and normal size! It is good to have them in case of hair emergencies.)
- extra bobby pins/hair net/hair band/hair clips
- first aid kit (the one I wrote about earlier!)
- feminine products
- energy/protein bars or snacks (It might not get past through security. Pack it in your dance bag at the summer intensive.)
- dance bag (of course!)
- any paperwork (ones you need to turn in at registration)
Hope this has helped you a lot with packing! These are the things I am bringing to my summer intensive or the things I think are essential. Just because I mentioned something you don't want bring doesn't mean you have to! Deciding what to bring is all up to you! Remember that pack as much you need for the length of time you are going to be there! And don't forget to have lots of fun!
